COUNSELING FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
WELCOME!
Hi, we're the Paks! Welcome to our site and thank you so much for considering joining our support team. If you're just getting to know us, we're a tight-knit family of four: Young-Ho, Kelly, Hana, and Yuni.
Some have called families like ours Global Nomads as we've lived outside of our passport country for now well over 19 years. Though we (Young-Ho & Kelly) were born and raised in the U.S., we have spent our entire married life in Asia. We are both licensed marriage and family therapists and have also had the blessing of pastoring an international church for several years.
Our girls are in elementary school and have been attending a local Christian school. The school has been an amazing fit for us as a family as many of the teachers are MKs (missionary kids) and PKs (pastor kids) themselves. Their understanding of Third Culture Kids and value for multilingual learning has been super supportive for our kids' early development. We feel this has been foundational as we now prepare for our next move and this mission that God has put on our hearts.

We are answering a call to bring our professional background in Biblical counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, and leadership development to our persecuted brothers and sisters living in the Middle East.
We will be relocating to the Caucasus region, an area strategically positioned to bring this unprecedented level of care to many unreached people groups (UPGs) in the 10/40 window.
We will be joining a missions organization already established there supporting indigenous-led work in the hardest-to-reach places and people groups. Due to security purposes we are not naming the specific organization here but please feel free to reach out to us personally through the contact form, and we'd be happy to share more if you're interested!
This organization also provides intensive Biblical training to indigenous Christ-followers from a strategic location that allows easy access for Christ followers in the Middle East. We hope to employ a discipleship-counseling model that will integrate with these trainings. The model we have in mind will not only to provide psychological and spiritual care but also arm indigenous Christians with effective tools to go back into their own communities. In this way they can also help their loved ones and those they are ministering to with the resources that have also helped them.
That being said, the mission is not just to provide care but to train, reproduce, and fuel indigenous-led work using counseling interventions and tools throughout the discipleship process.

WITH US
For the past year, we have been visiting and researching ministries across the globe to learn as much as we can about indigenous-facing counseling services. Although we found a few stellar counseling centers that offer high-quality services to expat missionaries, we were not as successful in locating organizations that solely focused on providing these kind of services to our persecuted brothers and sisters. We are finding out that this is not only a huge need but also very much uncharted territory.
If you would like to join us in this mission to bring professional care to our indigenous brothers and sisters who endure heart-breaking trauma for their faith please signup for our newsletter above so we can send you regular updates and prayer requests via email.
If investing in us and our ministry fits into your giving goals, we would be deeply honored to have you partner with us in this way as well. Our organization has provided us with specific requirements and goals for support raising, which includes an initial startup fund of $10,000 USD and $6,000 USD monthly to support our family of four in the new country we will be living in.
